If that lines are consistent with the red and blue and it does not appear during black and white print that means the cleaning blade in the affected color units need to be replaced

SOURCE: A blue line , 2mm, appearing at bottom of page.

Hi Info39684,
It sounds like your Cyan imaging unit has gone down.
Have you thought of changing the orientation of your paper from A4 protrait to A4 landscape. If the blue line is at the bottom, changing the orientation should hide the problem. It's not going to fix it, and if you use A3 then you will see the line again. It's just an idea and you could save yourself £250 on a new unit.
Regards
Taminol

Konica Minolta Bizhub C3320i Color Copier Printer Scanner. Red or blue lines on new bizhub 3320i.

Question edited for clarity.

If it is new, it is under warranty. Contact the maker or seller. It is likely to be a fault with the scanning tube or may be the optics / CCD. Is is via the document feeder or on the platen glass? Lift the lid and press the copy button. Does the bulb (tube) look okay?

My bizhub c451 suddenly started printing and copying nothing but colourful dots and lines all over the page. even with a test page i can only see a windows logo and all dots and lines, no text. even

Make sure the ink cartridge is full or new. Get to the "Maintenance" page and try an alinement. (The ink dries and will clog the jets if not used often enough.)

Epson black print has color streaks in it and my color print has different different other color streaks in it. What is wrong? I have experienced this problem with a couple of different printers I own....

I have personally encountered similar problem in my work.

Sometimes when either of the inks overflow at the nozzle, it gets absorbed to an extent into another ink compartment. So that colour affected now prints another colour; the colour that has crept into its compartment, Sometimes it is serious at other times is not. If not serious, usually, after a few solid colour prints the colour affected returns to normal.

I do not know how much of a technical person you are, but I will give you the solution to returning that colour to print rightly. Bring out your colour cartridge. Peel off the seal covering top. You will see the holes through which in is fed into it. Get a clean handkerchief, fold it and place over the top of the cartridge. Hold it over a bowl or something. Now place your mouth over the top with the handkerchief in between and blow hard. Ink will discharged at the nozzle. Clean off the ink with folded tissue; always dab not wipe. (At the nozzle do not rub only dab). Now press a piece of folded tissue to the nozzle firmly. It should be blotted with ink:- red, blue, yellow. If any colour is missing you may need to repeat the procedure. Once you get the three colours back, the issue is resolved.

Red and blue lines across printouts

open printing preferences and click on maintenance. Run the print head alignment utility. Sometimes this will remove the horizontal banding. I had this same problem and had to uninstall the printer and reinstall just like it was new, running the alignment feature before it was corrected. Worked ok for a few days then started again. I assumed that the printhead is bad. To costly to repair and bought a new printer.

How to print text using red or blue ink

I would just set the text color to red or blue in your document.

Depending on the program that you use it could have different steps.

Here is steps in Word:

You can change the Colour of your text by highlighting the text and then clicking on the 'A' symbol on the toolbar. This will change your text to the Colour which is underneath the symbol 'A' on the toolbar. To change the Colour, click on the arrow next to the symbol and select one of the colours from the small box which appears. This will change the Colour of your text as soon as you click on the Colour.

Another way of changing the Colour of your text is to go to 'Format' and then click on 'Font'. The font window should appear. Select a Colour from the 'Colour' section. You can see a preview of what the text will look like in the box below. You can also add various effects to your text by using the options in the 'Effects' section. This will also allow you to see a preview in the box at the bottom of the window.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

White lines in print--looks like pinstripes

I asked the technician at Staples what he thought and he thought it was the ink cartridge. since I was using 3in1 cartridges and it was expensive to buy two; (1) Black with pale magenta and blue plus (2)red blue and yellow,we bought a new printer that uses one colour only cartidges so we can replace one colour at a time and also use a pale blue and pale magenta to get better reproductions. for a little more than double the price we bought an Hp printer Photosmart C7280 on sale with single cartridges. It will pay off, They are a fraction of the cost of 3in1 colours.
