SOURCE: Dell Inspiron 1100 Bios and ACPI

Please contact your system vendor for an updated bios. If you are unable to obtain an updated bios or the latest bios supplied by your vendor is not ACPI compliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed - it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue your installation."

RESOLUTION
Manually install the Standard PC hardware abstraction layer (HAL):
1. Reboot the computer to restart Setup.
2. When Setup starts again, press F7 when you see the "Press F6 if you need to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver" screen.
Windows automatically disables the installation of the ACPI HAL and installs the Standard PC HAL. You should also contact the manufacturer of your computer to obtain a BIOS that is fully ACPI compliant

Asus eee pc bios in this system is not fully acpi compliant

These errors can be misleading. Try setting the BIOS to default.

Remove all USB attached devices.

Test one DIMM at time. One slot at a time. To eliminate possible bad RAM. Unplug PC. Opening case. Remove all RAM. Use static precautions!

Re-install Windows. Clean install works best. All data will be lost.

Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.

Can't find updated ACPI Bios for toshiba satellite m45 s331I am Getting blue screen Bios in this system not fully ACPI compliant.

Upgrading the bios it will not fix the issue ..cause the blue-screen is either a unsupported setting or..it is a operation system issue ..So ..if you get the blue-screen when you boot up ..and does not let you to get into bios..It may be the ACHI (not acpi ..cause the acpi is the power management ) being enabled and not having the driver installed..and in this mode will not be able to boot and will give you that blue screen ..
To fox it ..just go to bios ..and look for the hard disk ..and in teh same category you will see the achi function ..and just disable the mode..and let it run as IDE..This way it will boot fine ..
Indeed the achi mode for a hard disk bus..is faster and if you do want to use it ..try to boot without the achi enabled..and install the achi driver in the system ..and after that enable it again and see if it works..
If it still does monkey business than it will have to be reinstalled ..and if you still want achi for hdd mode..you have to install the driver during the installation progress..as a 3rd party driver ..
In short ..try to make it run ..and do not mess with the BIOS ..cause you may end up with a broken laptop ..

Dell 8300 not loading xp home with the blue screen of death

To resolve this behavior, contact the manufacturer of your computer to obtain a BIOS that is fully ACPI compliant.

To work around this behavior, manually install the Standard PC hardware abstraction layer (HAL):
  1. Restart the computer to restart Setup.
  2. When Setup starts again, press F7 (not F6) when you see the "Press F6 if you need to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver" screen.
Windows automatically disables the installation of the ACPI HAL and installs the Standard PC HAL.

ACPI BIOS not fully compliant

w8000 a very old PC not supported by HP.
windows 2000 support ended like 15 years ago.. W2k. is gone. w2k only runs on very old pcs with very old ACPI
(power controls is that)

this PC is only supported with XP
never 2000.
HP tells you that if you looked.
park the 2000 disk or use it as frezzbee. IMO

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/compaq-evo-workstation-w8000/322279

id get w7 disk and use that, it might work.
but will cost you a license from MS,
about 5 times the value of w8000

why not just go here, and get used $20 w7 pc
save a bundle of case and grief messing with any legacy junk....avoid legacy junk and win.
