Mitsubishi wd-73738 turns itself back on

Hi,

It sound like the remote is powering off the cable box but not the TV. The remote control may need to be reprogrammed to the TV. When you press power it may only power off the Cable box. At that point, try pressing the TV button on your remote and then Power. If it does not power off the tV after pressing the tV button, the remote may need to be reprogrammed to the tv. Cable companies usually have the codes needed to program their remotes to the TVs.

How to test fans on dlp tv I have pulled the video engine

Hello. Most fan problems are dust related, and only need cleaning. A can of air should do the trick.

I HAVE MITSUBISHI WD-73640 AND ITS SHOW THE GEEN LIGHT BUT DOESN'T HAVE PICTURE OR SOUND

The first thing to replace is the lamp. Google your model number and "lamp" and you'll find several sites that sell them. It isn't difficult to replace yourself and isn't very expensive. Good luck.

My 73'' mitsubishi model #wd-73738. Is flickering.

Hi!
That's a clear indication that you have a bad power supply in your TV.
If you know how to DiY...I suggest you open your TV. Locate the power supply section, it is where the end of the power plug is connected. Replace all blown or bulge or leaked capacitors with same value. That will fix your TV problem.
The hardest part is to disassembling your TV cover, cause you will need to pry off the snap in lock at the edge of your TV.

Power supply board should look like this. Examine the capacitors in the board

After replacing blown capacitors...it should work again.

Things you will need.
1. A plastic flat end screw or any object with flat ends....to fry off the cover
2. Soldering iron.
3. Soldering lead
4. Soldering pump.
5. Flat and Philip Screw
6. Replacement capacitors (of same value with the blown one) that you can buy to any electronics store.

Or try replace light engine..if the above solution won't work..
