Paul... youtube it.... It's really not difficult. Have to load bobbin with thread first... install bobbin (under the needle plate in its holder) thread cotton from top of machine through the correct catch points to the needle.... catch the thread from the bobbin..... pull threads under pressure foot (but look in youtube... loads of vids)

Cotton not pulling from bottom to top

There could be several reasons why the cotton is not being pulled from the bottom to the top. Here are some things you can try:
  1. Check the bobbin: Make sure it is wound properly and inserted correctly in the bobbin case. The thread should be going in a counterclockwise direction.
  2. Check the needle: Ensure that the needle is the correct size for the fabric you are using and is inserted correctly. A dull or bent needle can cause problems with thread tension.
  3. Check the tension: Make sure the top and bottom thread tensions are correctly set. The thread should be able to move freely through the machine without being too loose or too tight.
  4. Check the feed dogs: The feed dogs should be in the up position and moving the fabric smoothly through the machine. If they are not working properly, the fabric may not be moving through the machine correctly.
If none of these solutions work, there may be a mechanical issue with the machine that requires professional attention.

Machine wont sew cotton keeps coming out of needle tried everything

Do you mean cotton thread won't work in the machine ? Does polyester thread work ?

Some thread brands are not as good quality as some others. Not knowing what brand thread you have, it is possible the thread itself is causing the problem. .

If other types of thread work in this machine, it is most likely either the particular spool of thread or the brand being low quality that is the problem. I would try a brand new spool of a high quality cotton thread to see if that helps.

My Brother LS2521i has had issues with the top thread snapping, and bobbin thread getting tangled. I've dusted, rethreaded, and done every trick in the book. This is a BRAND new machine! I haven't been...

Check for nicks on the thread you are using. Also try turning the thread around it may be catching on a little cut at the bottem of your thread. Also are you using the white circular piece which has a hole in the center looks like cotten batten ? That helps sometime to make the thread unravel correctly. Place that on then put your thread on.

Cotton breaks on Brother Embroidery Galaxie 2100 machine

Try turning down your top tension setting a bit. If its at 4 or 5, i would turn it down to about 3 ish. Cotton thread is more brittle than polyester and rayon thread.

Hope that helps :)

In what order do i put the tension assembly together

Probably the most important contol on your machine is this one that regulates your top thread tension there are reason for having to reset your tension.Classified your fabric that you are using there are several set up of tension in every fabric that you use.Cotton fabric is most easier other than silk fabric make a record on this set up.The required tension depend upon the stiffness of the fabric, thickness, layer of rabric to be sewn and required stitches.Try cotton fadric turn tension dial to N0. 3 and Stitch set to from 8 to 12 defend to what is nice to you.
