The location of the jumpers or dipswitches may vary; however, here are some locations of the jumpers / dipswitches.

  1. On the edge of the motherboard - Most jumpers are located on the side of the motherboard for easy accessibility, verify by looking at all visible edges of the motherboard.
  2. By the CMOS battery - Some manufactures will place the jumper to clear the CMOS / BIOS password by the actual CMOS battery.
  3. By the processor - Some manufactures will place the jumpers by the processor of the computer. However, note that in some cases these jumpers will be to change the processor and not the password.
  4. Under the keyboard or bottom of laptop - If you are working on a laptop computer the location of the dipswitch (almost never a jumper) can be under the keyboard or on the bottom of the laptop in a compartment such as the memory compartment.
  5. Other visible location - While it is possible that the jumpers / dipswitches may not be in a visible location, most manufactures try to make things easier by placing the jumpers / dipswitches in another visible location.
  6. Jumpers may also be found underneath or allongside the memory modules.
I hope this helps but suggest that the manufacturers web site or your instruction manual, may have the answer.

If you know how to remove the CMOS battery on the motherboard of your laptop this will solve your problem. The BIOS password is stored in CMOS memory that is maintained while the PC is powered off by a small battery, which is attached to the motherboard.
Removing the battery will reset the CMOS information/data including the password.
Of course after you have done this you have to re-enter the correct CMOS info in order for your laptop to function properly.

Good day.

Hannstar k mv-4 motherboard low performance

The cpu is very cheaply made. For roughly $47 for the cpu don't expect much. You don't have much cache if this is the chip you have.To run programs faster it would need more. Some software needs more cpu power to run better and more cache to run faster.
Hope the link helps.
Level 1 cache size ? 2 x 32 KB 4-way set associative instruction caches
2 x 24 KB 6-way set associative data caches Level 2 cache size ? 2 x 512 KB 8-way set associative caches
