SOURCE: the pots and pans and the normal light blinks but
most likely you have a bad touch pad,you can first try this, shut the power down to the dish washer, open it up and unplug the ribbon from the touch pad that goes to the control board, unplug it off of the board for 5 minutes and then reconnect it the same way it came off and then run it and see if it repaired it,if not you'll need a new touch pad.hope this helps, one more thing,on the back of the kickplate or bottom panel has a tech sheet on the back of the panel, you can check it with the diagnostics to see what part is bad but most likely it will be the touch pad.good luck with your dish washer.

That reset sequence code didn't work for me. We tried everything on a ton of forums.
What I did to fix our Whirlpool dishwasher was to disconnect the drainage tube from the garbage disposal. I noticed it smelled really bad so I figured it was clogged. I used a bucket to catch the water left in the tube. I took the sprayer from the sink and flushed out the tube. 4 pumpkin seeds and a couple of beans landed in my bucket. I flushed it a couple times. I hooked the tube back up to the disposal and sure enough all the lights returned to normal. I pressed start and it came on.
