Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FRS23KF7AB, is so cold that it is freezing liquids inside the refrigerator area. I also see that you have it set on the warmest setting. First, I suggest setting the controls to the factory setting. Secondly, reset your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, leave the setting on the factory setting, and give your refrigerator 24 hours to stabilize at the factory setting. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

SOURCE: My side by side refrig. keeps freezing everything.

Hi, this problem is going to be with the running thermostat2.gif (cold Control). It has gone bad and stays open which in turn will keep the compressor running continually and will cause the fridge2.gif to get colder and freeze food. It can normally be located in the control panel inside the fridge (it is the control that has wires, the other is the damper). Locate the thermostat and replace it. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Good Luck!! Mike

Vegetables in crisper are frozen, as well as liquids in bottom 1/2 of fridge door. The fridge & freezer temp controls won't adjust to our settings. Also, we're getting ice, but no water will dispense.

The freezer cools the refrigerator, so you actually get very cold air passing from the freezer to the refrig. The air from the freezer enters the refrig on the top and falls to the bottom where it is drawn back into the freezer. The temperature of the refrig is regulated by a thermostat and a fan that runs when the thermostat calls for cooling. If the refrig thermostat is faulty and causes the fan to run more than it should, there will be a freezing problem in the refrig at the bottom because cold air falls and warm air rises. If the refrig is thermostat is calling for cooling constantly, this will take more cold air from the freezer than is normal. Your freezer temp might be higher than normal and the refrig will be colder then desired. If the fan from the freezer is running constantly I would suspect a bad refrig thermostat.

My refrigerator is too cold. It is on the warmest setting on both the freezer and refrig yet the lower draws freeze. Got any ideas? And yes the compressor is not running all of the time.

by setting the freezer control to the warmest setting you allow the maximun amount of air into the refrigerator. set the freezer control to the center location.

Hi: I have a 9yr old profile refrig, mod #tfx25prb...

What is your refrigerator cold setting? Try lowering the temp to to the medium setting.

Items in the lower part of the fridge will freeze if the setting is too high. (P.S. Cold air "sinks" so the lower part of the fridge will be colder. Cutting the "number" setting on the fridge does stop air flow though.

The temp setting is on 4 for both the freezer and refrig. Which way do we set the temp controls to warm up the temp? Is the lower setting warm or cold?

Good day,
The higher the number the colder the temp. 1 being the warmest.
It takes 12 to 24 hours to realize a new setting's effect. Go slow.
