You don't actually need the software. You can still use the Sync screen in Windows Media Player to add songs to the player without the software. The manufacturer has a PDF download of the manual at http://digiblue.com/customer-service/downloads/index.html

Be sure to try all the USB ports on your computer. The player will use all 500 milliamps that a USB port can provide to charge its battery. In most cases the back ports will provide all 500 milliamps to the player so try that. If you're using a USB hub then make sure you're connecting the player directly to the back of the computer instead.
If that doesn't work then take them back for a replacement or contact Digital Blue customer service for warranty replacement.

Charging the Player
The player needs to be charged before it can be used and every time
the battery gets low. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to charge the
Player. Once fully charged, the Player lasts approximately 8 hours.
To charge the Player:
Remove the USB cover on the Player.
Connect the Player to the PC using the Flash Plug.
The Player will begin charging. The battery indicator should begin
to flash, alternating red and green.
Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will stay red.
Note: If this is the first time the Player is connected, wait until
Windows detects the Player and follow the prompts to install it.

You don't need the disk that came with the Mix Stick. It's just a plug in that interfaces with Windows Media Player and it completely optional. Without the software you can still use the Sync function in Windows Media Player to synchronize songs to the player.

Question:
How do I add songs to my Mix Stick 2.0?

Answer:
Hook the Mix Stick 2.0 up to an available USB port on your computer using the provided USB cable. Once the computer finishes loading the drivers for the Mix Stick 2.0, you can open the My Computer icon (or Computer in the Start Menu if you have Vista) and see the Disney Mix Stick 2.0 icon or the Removable Disk icon. You can then drag and drop your songs into the Mix Stick 2.0 or use the Sync feature in Windows Media Player to sync your existing tracks from Windows Media Player to the Mix Stick 2.0. Be sure to properly disconnect the Mix Stick 2.0 from your computer. For further assistance with this issue, please watch our video tutorial located here for a step-by-step walkthrough of this process.

I have lost the software to disney mix stick. Please help

Hi,

Please confirm what operating system your computer runs (like Windows XP or Vista). Also, confirm if you are looking for its drivers or some other special software.

If your system is running Windows XP or Vista, you can simply plug the device in and it will automatically appear in Start > My Computer (or Computer). You can then simply drop your music files (such as MP3s) straight onto the device.

With regards.

Disney Princess MP3 player

Hi,
I think I have fixed the problem of the Disney mix stick not being recognized by thecomputer, or Win Media Player.
I had the same problem for about 8 months now and today I thought I would give it another chance and what I did worked.
First, I put the mix stick into my USB port
Then I went to c:\programs\Disney\Mix stick and there was a file called stupdaterapp, Disney Mix Stick Firmware Download Disney, I doubled clicked that and it started downloading, it was the same ver. firmware I already had but I clicked ok anyway, then when it asks you if you want to Format click yes.
When it finished I went to windows explore and the disney mix stick would let me drag and drop new music files on it and when I took it out, after ejecting it, the mix stick worked, it plays music again, I thanked God, I was about ready to just throw it away because it would not work at all it just flashed that light it has on it, and my computer did not recognize it at all, but after this it works and my grandaughter was so happy !
Please, if this works pass this fix on to everyone, there are alot of people out there with the same problem and maybe this will help them, there is no way I could go to every web site and post this.
Good Luck & God Bless !
P.S. Let me know if this helped anyone! my e-mail address is [email protected].
