It could be the speed controller, They are sometimes near the battery. Do you hear a clicking sound when you try to engage the motor? if you do the solenoid is trying to engage. only a multi meager or electrical tester could tell you if power was getting to the motor but my guess is that it is not. if you know for sure the battery is good and it won't go it probably is the speed controller or a reset switch!!! try looking for a small black button near the on switch or charging jack. when you press it in you might hear a small snap. if you do that will be the problem. if not you may have to replace the speed control, if both are the same you can exchange one form the car that works. all the plugs only fit one way don't force them. take your time it's easy.
Best to luck
hope it's the reset switch

SOURCE: Please let me know how I can change the rear tires

I want to add additional traction to my John Deere electric Gator. I have heard that you can somehow slip a bicycle tire over the plastic tires. Has anyone done this and how do you do it?

SOURCE: where can i get a rubber tires for a Peg Perego

the whole tire would be difficult to replace with a rubber one, but you can put bmx tires on the plastic wheels and that will give much greater traction, but shorten the life of the gearboxes. here is a link to how to do it.

SOURCE: Where is the battary? Peg Perego John Deere Gator

the battery is behind the front bumper. There are tabs on either side in wheel wells to release the front end panel and it pivots downward to access the battery compartment. good luck!

SOURCE: Our john deere gator won't run

how do you know that the battery is charged? it could be that the charger isn't working. I would check the charger with a multimeter and verify that its putting out enough volts to charge the battery, it should be putting out between 13.8 and 14.6 volts

Bought new battery for the john deere gator ride on toy but only runs for a short time then battery needs recharging

Hi, How long does it run? Typically you should get at least 45 min of run time out a fully charged battery. If it's slowing gradually and dying in just a few minutes its the battery. If it's goign full speed and then stopping suddenly, it's probably the thermal breaker located in the shift mechanism.
