What rs remotes will work with a rca rs2610 book shelf stereo?

Could be a bad wire from cassette player to speakers. Do you need to change setting from stereo to cassette

The Aux audio L/R input jacks are below the On/Off button on the left side of the front of the stereo's main unit. The headphone jack is just below the input jacks. You will probably need an adapter to split the stereo output from the Blackberry (probably a 3.5 mm stereo jack) to the L/R jacks.

Mine wouldnt read Direct remote....went out and bought a universal remote and now its fine Universal remotes come with easy instructions to program to your set

The Audio System does not respond to the remote control.
1. To reset their connection, turn on the remote control and switch the Audio System to Standby mode.
2. In Standby mode, press and hold both INFO and SOURCE on the front panel of the Audio System. It is reset to default when"RF ID clear" displays.
3. Press and hold both PROGRAM and SELECT on the remote control. When “ID claer” displays on the LCD of the remote control, the connection is reset.

I have this system. According to the manual you have to do the following. 1. Press and hold the TIMER/CLOCK button until CLOCK appears in the display under the time. 2. Press the SET button once and the hour will flash. 3. Use the << or >> buttons to ascend or descend to the correct hour. 4. Press the SET button again and the minutes will flash. 5. Use the << or >> buttons to ascend or descend tot he correct minutes. The time will flash for a few seconds and be set when it stops. I have tried those steps and you may have to do them a few times in order to get the time right. It's a little tricky. I haven't bothered to reset the time as I have other devices that display the time without the back and forth with this device. It's a nice system and the sound is okay for my purposes. Hope this helps.

according to www.rca.com they have the remotes for this stereo for sell just go to this website go to technical help and they will get you one i just bought a new one myself

Have you tried cleaning the sensor on your stereo, and also the transmitter on the front of your remote? Otherwise check the battery terminals in the remote for corrosion to make sure the batteries havent leaked.
