Maytag performa dishwasher, The washarms on my dishwasher won't turn and water does not come out of them. I took out the arms out and delimed and cleaned them and there were some crystals. I also tried putting some lime away in the unit and running it for a couple cycles but it just drained out cause it can't circulate what to do?

Check your strainer where it hooks up in the hose to see if it is plugged with dirt or calcium.

SOURCE: Leaking dishwasher

when you state "there is water leaking out of the drain hose", then that leak must be fixed either by a new hose or to repair the hose. as far as the timer issue, i need more info.

SOURCE: Indecit dishwasher not circulating water

Checked that the motor was not seized by inserting slotted screwdriver through hole at back of machine to engage in slotted end of motor to spin up water circulating motor. Motor was not seized, so that was not the problem. Then took bottom off machine and on inspection found that the start capacitor which is bolted to side of motor was bulging and discoloured wher the terminals are. Replaced Start capacitor ( Less than £10.00) and machine motor started up. Machine behaved irratically at first, flashing lights etc.but got it to reset by switching on and off a couple of times, ran machine through cycle, now working ok.

Kitchenaide rinse dispenser in dishwasher doesn't work. White soapy streaks on plates

Confirm that lower washarm is rotating. Initially check by rotating by hand. Second mark arm position turn on unit stop and heck arm position.

Listen very carefully and confirm arm is turning. It is often found debris clogs the lower arm jet preventing the arm from turning.

Also check the water level in washer sump. Low will also keep the arm from rotating.

Hope this helps.

Maytag quiet series 200 dishwasher spray arms won't turn

Have you tried tighten the spray arms? They may have come lose at the fittings so need to be tightened up. You can normally tighten them with your hand. Take any traps/filters out of the dishwasher and clean them.

Hobart commercial under the counter diswasher LXIC Model Number 130016. DELIME light comes on every day at startup. Machine will immediatly run (in DELIME mode I think) for about 5-10 min and then get E4...

The machine is trying to tell you to delime it. After a certain number of wash cycles, the LXI dishwasher reminds you to run a delime cycle (instructions are on a label on the bottom of the dishwasher). Judging from your posting, it's been ignored for quite some time, so you may need to run multiple delime cycles, depending on how much scale is built up inside the machine on the probes, wash arms, rinse arms, drain body (though you can't see this part, heavy scale deposits will cause draining problems). So . . . . get some good strong delimer and run a few delime cycles (talk to your chemical supplier about delimer - don't buy some weak stuff like LIME-A-WAY off the shelf).

Once you've delimed the machine, your E4 code may go away. E4 is the dishwasher's way of telling you that it did not fill properly on the initial fill (when you first turn on the machine). More specifically, it means the dishwasher DID NOT SENSE WATER at the upper probe at the rear right of the tank (there are two probes back there, on one assembly, referred to as the MIDDLE and UPPER water level probes). The probe may be coated with lime causing difficulty sensing water at the probe, so a good deliming may clean the probe and fix the E4 problem (in fact, reach back to the probes and break off any heavy built-up lime/scale deposits before deliming). If the E4 code persists after deliming, watch the pressure gauge on the front of the dishwasher. If the gauge reads lower than the green area, you need to adjust or replace the water pressure regulator. If the E4 problem still persists, replace the probe assembly at the rear of the dishwasher.

I have a maytag MDB600AWW dishwasher. the top spray arm doesn't turn. it wouldn't even turn if i removed the to middle trays. I took the accumulator out and cleaned it. the fine mesh filters were clogged....

First check to see if the washarm itself is clogged, if so clean it out.

If the arm has a bearing it may be shot.

You may have a clogged manifold on the output side of the pump. I sometimes run a single solid wire through these areas to find out.

Water arm does not spin during cycle arm spins manualy

3 issues will cause this problem:

1. Washarm is clogged with debris.

2. Bad washarm bearing.

3. Low output pressure from pump motor or crimped hose or clogged manifold, at times debris collect in the impeller housing limiting the output flow.

Frigidaire Dishwasher - Spray Arm Not Working

This all may be due to an impeller problem in the pump housing under the lower washarm. If the impeller is damaged/bad the pump will not circulate water through the wash system correctly. On most Frigidaire dishwashers the lower washarm and top pump cover can be removed fairly easily to check it out.

My Maytag Performa recently stopped washing the food off the dishes. It fills and drains like it is supposed to, but seems to not have the right pressure.

Before drawing any serious conclusions check wash arms for blockage in spray holes, < possibly slowing delivery of water pressure > it can be calcium from hard water.
