Aquarius wdpg 9640 washer dryer Dryer making a loud noise
The drying fan is most likely clogged.
Take of the topp, then you will se the drying fan. Along with the heating system. There are several screws you have to undo on the heating canal. Then you should be able to clean the whole thing.
Sometimes the fan is broken, and need replacing.
This is not recomended if you dont know what you are doing!
Do a mistake with the overheating guards, heater position, wireing ect, and you could set the machine on fire the next time you use the dryer

ABSOLUTELY! There is a plastic piece in the back that the center ball piece on the back of the drum spins in. Thats your bearing, replace it.

To get out of it you need to press start, the display should go daft. Press start again and the display should settle down. Now press the on/off button and the start button at the same time and hold them down for a few seconds until the display shows d-end or d-off.

If it stops running when hot it may be the motor. The belt or drum rollers would not stop it from running.

If you can get it apart, you should be able to fix it yourself. This is a tricky task though (I've seen customers spend hours just trying to change a belt, which you'll have to remove), so you may want to pay the money and have someone come out.
It is hard to say without hearing the noise for myself, but my best educated guess would be that the dryer drum bearing needs to be lubricated. You should lubricate it with white lithium grease, about 1.5 ounces of it.
In order to do this, you will have to take the dryer front off, remove the belt from underneath the drum and then remove the drum. You will see a bearing on the backside of the drum (looks like a post with a ball on it). You will see where that inserts on the back wall of the dryer. You should put the grease in the insertion point, then put the dryer back together again.

This sounds like the min bearings have gone, open the door and see if there is any play up and down on the drum. if so its the bearing if not it could be something that has fallen from a pocket and got stuck between the metal clothes drum and the oute drum casing. a take apart job i am afraid for both issues.
