If it is its original remote control, without any adjustments, it should work with it. Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. No model number so comments are generic
Look for the button with the symbol AD on it, it means audio description. If there isn't one on the remote then go into the sound menu, where there may be a setting for AD volume or AD on/off

Check the connections??? Maybe get it replaced or repaired.

There may not be any way to do this. If there is no audio OUTPUT option, you may need to open up the set and wire things directly inside - a bad, warrenty ending idea - or buy a new set.

Hi,
The only way to get the surround sound by your set up box to your system by audio connections ok other than you cannot get from TV surround sound.

Are you using the Audio out RCA connectors at the back of the set. Are you watching/listening from source connected on HDMI input?

I have Technika LCDDVD19-918 TV. The manual specifically states "Audio Line Outs - Note: line out feature cannot be used while in HDMI source, us SPDIF instead". You could try using the headphone jack for audio out.
