What's wrong and how do I fix it?

The circuit breaker outside in the power panel for the stove has a bad breaker. It will be two breakers with their handles joined together by a pin so if one tripe it takes the other so 220 V is no longer present. When one, but not the other trips you only have 110 V. That's why the lights and clock still work but no heating elements.

Dual element burner on glasstop range...inner element stays on

It is the burner control (behind the knob). The triac in the control has failed. $50 item, 10 minute change. Just make note which wire goes to which terminal.

I doubt that it is the control board, as the board has little to do with the stove top, but rather controls the display and the oven temperature/feedback monitoring.

Hope this helps.

The inner right front element will not heat up on our Kenmore Elite ceramic stove top. The middle and outer elements on the right front work fine. Why is this happening?

inner element burned out. Either burner needs replacing or control switch is bad. Take out burner and see if coil has a break in it. IF not, then switch is bad. I cannot see your repyl due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks

Frigidaire ceramic top self cleaning stove

Have you thought about reading the manual, it states that the heat goes off and on to maintain the proper heat while cooking, You should turn the burner off a few minutes before done because even on off the burner is still cooking while it is cooling down to go off. And you do not need to have as high of heat to cook that's what so great about this ceramic tops you save time and energy.

How to change element

First unhook power then remove 2 screws under front of top. You may have 2 more on hinges in back. Remove element support from side you replacing. Remove two screws from elment. Transfer wire for wire to new element. Reinstall element screws in same number holes you took them out of.

Stove problem - outer cirlcle of an expandable element not working

You will need to call a professional these are very complicated and not easy to service, there are no fuses either. It will most likely be the element itself that has failed and they are not cheap. It also could be the switch too however it will take a person very familiar with schematics to properly diagnose it. Or you could just replace the element and switch yourself and that would most likely solve it.
