The plank under the belt may be badly worn, Natashia. You MIGHT be able to get a little graphite powder under the belt, but your best bet would be to disassemble it, remove the belt, and have some countertop laminate (like Formica) laminated to the top of that plank. That's what it was originally surfaced with, but after some time it wears through.
hi,
Its time to lubricate your treadmill.
You must obtain the proper lubricant for your treadmill. There are several different types. Contact your manufacturer for what type is needed. Using the manufacturer provided allen wrench, loosen the walking belt approximately 10 full turns on each side of the rear roller. Apply approximately 1/2 ounce of lubricant directly in the middle of the walk area underneath the walking belt upon the deck.
Retighten the rear roller 10 turns on each side. Run the treadmill at 6.0 mph for 2-3 minutes to spread the lubricant evenly. Wipe excess lube from the sides of the belt. Walk on treadmill to check for proper tension on belt.
for make it easy for you I have added a video.
ok
you need to adjust the travel of belt. to do this you need a allen wrench that came with it. if you have it run treadmill at slow speed,go to the rear right at the right end cap there is a hole, use the allen wrench and unscrew slowly while watching the belt until returns to the middle. if it slips when walking go back to rear and adjust by screwing in one turn on each side until belt wont slip.
If the treadmill slows down or cuts off when warm it is probably a worn or dry walk belt.Lift the edge of the walk belt and feel the underside of it about 1 inch from the edge, now compare that to the underside of it in towards the middle where your feet are stepping on it,if that area feels alot more frayed or fuzzy the walk belt is worn. Now rub your hand on the platform surface where the walk belt rides, you should feel a wax film on the platform,if not you can purchase treadmill wax from the manufacturer, retailer or on-line.Apply the wax under the belt in towards the center 2/3 of the belt area, that should be done whenever you don't feel that wax film when you check it.
