If the DTR is set to S Video out then it will give a monochrome piscture as the colour content is not being picked up due to the TV Receiver. Re set the DTR to Composite Video Output.
I assume that you have checked the Y and Z -sus boards and they are ok. Yes most likely the panel itself is dead, but its possible that the ribbon connectors to the panel are faulty.
you posted the model number in reverse-----32pf double check-only thing i found so far -------replace c601 470/25v
someone else found a bad FET did u check them
do u have a pdf of this one
Problem is caused by voltage irregularity. Pulled plug for an hour and then plugged it back in. TV reset and it works fine. If this does not work it needs a TV technician.
Sounds like your panel might be going out or a faulty video card. This is the first time I have heard of a solid pink screen on a plasma. Usually this happens on LCDs, though they sometimes go white and stay white, which does signal a bad panel. tv needs repair
Found that video 1 and video 2 switching does not work. The switching IC was HOT!. Then found a third video input works but no sound. Hooked -up sound output of DVD player to amplified loudspkr and it works, I hate to throw away a 2 year-old plasma TV when TV and cable still works.
Thanks for the offer anyway.
Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the board that the power cord is hooked to.If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again. So far I have fixed four of the same make, and model TV as this, and they all had either one,or two bad capacitors.I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!
