tip

Drum needs to be replaced message,Remove waste toner,Waste toner full

Save money by removing your drum units waste toner yourself.By removing waste toner the drum life will be increased.Remove the waste toner every 3 to 5 thousand prints.

The main cause of drum failure in this model is caused by waste toner build up at the back of the drum, this cause the drum cleaning blade to put more pressure on the drum and.

Slide the platte-ned cover Assembly to the left open the left cover, remove the drum and developing Assembly like you do when you have to remove a paper jam.The drum and developer assy is attached by 2 blue clips, unlock the clips and separate the def and drum.On top of the drum unit the is a plastic plug that you can remove and trough out the toner in a dustbin with plastic bag coverd.Do not use this toner again in the machine.
Reinstall the plug and connect the drum and developer unit with the two clips.Reinstall the unit.

By removing the waste toner regally you will save on service cost as well.

Drum cannot turn clothes around with water in the machine

Could be a lot of different things. In the one time I had this experience it was a hot pad (that's made like a coil). It had slipped through between the drum (that spins the cloths) and the tub (that holds the water). It traveled to the rear of the machine, unraveled, and got wrapped around the axle in the back inhibiting movement. I had no idea that's what the problem was until I took apart the machine - which included removing the entire tub and drum from the body of the washer and opening it up - removing the clips that hold the two halves of the tub together around the drum. This also involved removing the weights from the tub and drum. It's a very time consuming process. Hopefully you only have something like a broken belt. That would be easier to repair.

Sharp copier, not producing clean copies

Could be the fusing unit (part that gets hot) but most likely cause based on your description is the drum unit. Easy to check by simply removing your toner cartridge, then removing the drum cartridge which sits right next to the toner cartridge. After removing the drum cartridge, turn it over and look at the colored cylinder. This is the drum. It should be clean. If your problem is in the drum unit you will see the same 2 "bands" of toner are something on the drum surface. If this is the case, it means the drum cleaning blade is going bad. Just order in a new drum unit and this will fix the copy quality problem.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Drum is making a knocking noise

it could be the rear drum bearing going out or the rear drum rollers going bad or the roller wheels beginning to flatspot or the front rollers in the same shape, you would need to remove the front cover on the unit by removing the lower kick panel screws, then remove the top cover and removing the drum belt, then remove the drum from the machine to examine all the above issues noted

CHIRPING CLOTHES DRYER

The problem sounds like your drum rollers, you can try to lube them by pulling the front of the dryer off and removing the drum. Or you can replace them by removing the front of the dryer and removing the drum.

CLUNKING NOISE - SOMETHING TRAPPED BETWEEN INNER & OUTER DRUMS?

Yes, there is something trapped between the inner and outer drum, you could try removing the sump hose from the bottom of the drum, this will give you more room to fish about than possibly removing the heater. If you do remove the heater, you may not get it back in, then you will have to fit a new one.
The sump hose is the large hose fastened to the bottom of the outer tub.

Removing rear drum

You need to get a bolt with the same diameter and thread pitch as the brake drumretaining screws. On my 1997 Escort that's an 8mm x 1.25 thread pitch bolt. The length should be about 12mm. or larger. Don't get a bolt that's longer than about 20mm. The bolt goes into a hole in the brake drum, bearing down on a plate inside the hub. You can't use a brake drum retaining screw because you need to be able to apply more torque to the fastener than could be safely applied to a jacked vehicle

Stainless steel drum loose

A loose inner drum usually indicates a failed rear tub bearing. The only solution is to replace the rear half of the tub. (which contains the bearing).... You can check if the pulley nut has come loose by removing the rear panel. There is a large nut that retains the belt pulley to the shaft of the basket.
