Fridge/freezer cooling inefficiently

Hotpoint HSS251FMDWW stopped cooling, repairman replaced defrost heating coil, big ice build up, said air couldn't circulate to cool. fridge seemed to come back around for a few days, now seems to be inefficiently cooling on the fridge side. freezer is still making ice, but frost/snow seems to be forming on back freezer wall again. next move?

Either the repair guy did not wire up the heater correctly or he replaced the wrong part, if the heater was good it was likley to be the defrost thermostat...I would call the repair guy back to check.

My Hotpoint FSFL 1810G fridge compartment has stopped working

It is not going into a defrost cycle and you have ice build up between freezer supply vent it frig side. It could be a defrost timer, defrost termination switch or defrost heater problem.

Hotpoint fridge freezer model number ff72p fridge not getting cold

Remove inner wall in freezer to see if ice has built up on the coils. If the defrost heater has failed result will be ice build-up on the freezer coils and lack of air flow in refrigerator so no cooling.

Hotpoint Future fridge freezer - freezer working well but top of the back of the fridge has a large build up of ice ??? And doesn't appear to be keeping the food cold enough

here are lots of things that can cause cooling problems. One of the most common causes of poor cooling in a frost free refrigerator is a defrost system failure. In such a case one or the other compartment may appear to be keeping proper temperature but that too may change in a short period of time. The fridge compartment's temperature rise is usually (but not always) the first to be noticed. Frost" and "Ice"
There is a difference between "frost" (a white, snow-like substance) and "ice" (usually clear and solid). When referring to what is seen during an inspection, please keep this distinction in mind as the possible causes for each are often very different. The Defrost System
Inspecting the (usually rear) wall of the freezer compartment for a frost build up is necessary. (In the case of many GE top freezer models, check the freezer's bottom panel.) If there is a frost coating on it, it is often a sign of excessive frosting beneath it. Sometimes however the evaporator cover panel will actually need to be removed (see the illustration below) before an excessive frost build will visible.
The refrigeration system's evaporator (cooling) coil is usually in the freezer compartment. This evaporator will periodically frost over and have to be defrosted by means of a heating system. When the defrost heating system fails, the frost can accumulate to such a degree that airflow throughout the appliance is hampered. There may be just enough air circulation to cool the freezer section but that will eventually stop too.

I have a problem with my s75438dt,the fridge as stopped working

If defrost heaters in freezer stop operating during defrost cycle, ice builds up around coils and blocks cool air from being blown to refrigerator side. If ice you need to defrost with heat and replace heaters. Remove rear freezer wall and look for solid ice covering coils. Also push freezer door switch closed while keeping door open and determine if fan is working.

GE Profile - fridge not cooling

If freezer is icing up, you might have a defrost problem. Frost free models have a heating element that is controlled by a timer to automatically defrost ice, defrost timer turns on defrost heating element every 12 hours to melt ice in freezer and allow good air flow.
You can test defrost element with an ohm meter(located inside freezer coils-will have two wires going to a plug connection), if OK replace defrost timer (located in various places depending on make and model

Freezer is frosted in back Refrigerator is warm

The problem is the defrost system located behind the freezer back panel.

The defrost system (AKA evap. system) is composed by an heating coil, a fan , and a defrost thermostat, and its function is avoiding ice formation on coil.
When defrost system is defective the fridge wont cool down properly

In your fridge , either evaporator fan, thermostat or heating element is faulty, and the ice on coils is preventing the appliance from cooling down properly.
