How do I refill my Accentra PaperPro stapler?

For PaperPro Prodigy. Best stapler I have used but after about 8 years the flat steel staple driver broke. To repair, remove the bottom by forcing it back, force the stapler halves apart with a flat screw driver and the top comes off. The springs and levers are on one half and they will not fly apart. I couldn't find the staple driver part (on the left) so go to the store and buy a new stapler.

I'm new at FixYa, and I don't own this particular stapler, but I'll give this a shot.

Grip the black (middle) part of the stapler on its sides, flip it over (upside-down) and bend the base so you expose what would be the bottom of the black part of the stapler (now facing up, of course, because the stapler is upside-down). There should be a tab near the hinge that you can simply pull to expose the compartment where the staples are stored.

(That's how I reload my PaperPro stapler.)

My PaperPro Prodigy stopped firing staples. Examination of the hammer mechanism was fine. (apparently sometimes an internal part can break) Check with stapler opened and no staples. Hold the safety lock pin down with a fingernail or sticky tape so you can check operation of the hammer mechanism. Should withdraw to clear staple compartment and then fire. If this looks good, examine the roof of the staple compartment. Mine had a little lump of brown grunge in the roof of the staple compartment next to the hammer - stopping the staples from sliding up into firing line. Scraped it out and works fine again.
