Why do I have to go thru the entire compatibility process everytime I charge the unit

First, find the fuse, and sensor to the devise. Pull the fuse and waite a few minutes then replace. Do the same with the sensor, this will clear the devise settings on the cars computer. Then start your car and let it run through the computer system check of all car devises, it will locate the Python devise and resetit. If you have trouble in this process, look your unit up on line and call the tech department and they will walk you through the process. Then go back to Jeffy Lube and have them comp you for their lack of knowing how to work "around" this devise.

I would check fusable link on power supply 12 volt DC from battery voltage. if compression springs loose inside link, possible that bumps are causing loss of contact causing power down, then when the reconnect, you get reboot, check entire power supply line from point of power connection to unit.

Make sure the unit has been charged while in your car with cigarette lighter adapter. If the unit is charged, try connecting the usb cable directly to a usb port on your computer and not thru a usb hub.Then see if it shows up in my compute. Yes, Rigel Ops is a Russian company. It manufactured NV devises. How old is the binoculars? Has it been droped or abused? If it has been droped a few time, then the image tubes can't take that type of abuse. The image tubes go bad. I don't have my shop up and working. Maybe in the future I can start repairing these NV devises. GB...stewbison

Some chargers will 'fool' the satnav into thinking they're connected to a pc, my S90 was just the same. I bought a car charger on eBay that said in the description "These are purpose designed car chargers so that you can also continue to use your devise whist charging it will not go in to PC sync mode." I bought one of these and it now lets me use the satnav and charge at the same time, whereas my other car charger wouldn't let me.

Same thing happened to me, I called the company, and they told me to remove the battery, press the on button for 5 seconds, which clears the system, replace the battery and do a long charge 12 hours. I'm in the process of doing that now.
