Just experienced the same problem problem before. I had tried the SmartKey iTunes Backup Password Recovery to recover the password and within a second, I get my iTunes backup password.

I hope this help you recover encrypted iTunes backup password too.

well let's hope that you did not change the security code, tell the person to press the menu key and when the screen ask for the security code tell them to put in the 000000....that should help
