SOURCE: Coaxial to component

Get a VCR and use the VCR as a "bridge" between the cable input and the TV. Your TV should have generic RCA jacks that will accept the output from the VCR.

SOURCE: WHERE To BUY power boards for emerson 32" FS TV

I had the same problem. Mine gave out in 4 months. Those boards are hard to find right now. Google the the board# BA71FOFO1042 and someone like (buyjimmy.com) I think will sell TV parts. If not, you can fix the board itself like I did. Mine was a bad inverter transformer. If you need the parts# for anything let me know, I have the Service Manual for the TV. Good Luck

There is no signal on my emerson tv, how do i get one

1. You are not on the right input for the signaling device: Verify which input number (or type ie HDMI/component/video/Cable) your device is connecting to and tune to that input.
2. The signaling device is not powered on. Verify it is on and the cable is properly seated into device and TV.
3. The cable is bad. Try a different cable or use alternate type of connection.
4. The specific input port on the TV is bad. Move the connecting cable to a different port (ie from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2) and tune the TV to that input.
If you are using an Over the Air signal (OTA) with rabbit ears or and antenna use the TV menu to run an auto tuning scan of your local stations.
If you are using a tuning box (cable/satellite) over a coaxial connection check connections and tune the TV to CH 3 or CH 4 and check for picture. There may be a switch on the back of the box indicating CH 3 or CH 4.

My tv Emerson LF501EM4F audio went out. The picture and everything else works but no sound. How do I fix it? Thanks.

Based on Emerson reviews, you might be better off buying another (maybe different brand) TV.

Why doesn't my Emerson lf501em4f not recognize cable box HDMI?

Several things may be happening. Most likely, you need to adjust settings on the cable box for HDMI output rather than component or composite RCA. The same may be true for the TV. Did you check your input source setting on the TV? Also, go into the Video Settings menu and see if the TV asks for types of cable input for video, and audio settings for audio input from the HDMI.

How to connect a philips antenna to a trutech tv

Unplug your television and turn the set around so the back of the set is facing you.

  • 2 Disconnect the antenna or cable connection from the television's "VHF," "Antenna In" or similarly worded port if it is connected.
  • 3 Examine your splitter and notice one end of the device has a coaxial port while the other end has two coaxial ports.
  • 4 Plug the coaxial end of the television antenna into one of the two coaxial ports on the splitter.
  • 5 Plug the coaxial cable coming from the cable television connection outlet into the second coaxial port on the splitter. Use the port next to the one you used to plug the television antenna into.
  • 6 Place one end of a 2 foot piece of coaxial cable into the single coaxial port on the splitter.
  • 7 Plug the other end of the 2 foot piece of coaxial cable into your television's "VHF," "Antenna In" or similarly worded port.
  • 8 Plug in the television set and turn it around so the screen is facing you.
  • 9 Use your television's remote control to access the "Menu," "Setup" or similarly worded function. Or press the "Menu" or "Setup" button on the front of the television.
  • 10 Select the "Channel Setup" or similarly worded function. Set the Input to "Cable" and perform an "Auto Scan" to locate all available cable television channels.
  • 11 Select the "Channel Setup" or similarly worded function, then set the input to "Antenna" and perform an "Auto Scan" to locate all available broadcast channels. Your television will locate both broadcast and cable television channels.
  • 12 Scan the channels on your television to make sure all available channels have been found. If you are missing any channels that you know you should have, manually program the channels into your television using the "Channel Setup," "Manual Channel Setup" or similarly worded function.

I could not swallow my set up. what to do? how can i assemble tv to a cpu?

Hello and thank you for allowing me to help you.

PLEASE reward the ACCEPTED best answer

******There are several ways to configure your setup, we will cover the most cost efficient way first****

    1. You can purchase a TV TUNER PCI CARD or AVG GREEN OR BLACK PORT (SHORTER) to plug straight into your WHITE COLOR slot
    2. All you would need is a TV COAXIAL cable to plug straight into the available coaxial cable slot AFTER installing the software
    3. You will know that your install went well when you do not receive any errors
    4. You will more than likely receive a remote control with your new card

    More expensive method

    1. Purchase a USB BASED TV TUNER with an available coaxial cable port to plug your cable tv line straight in. This should also include a remote.

Trying to hook vcr up to an emerson telivision

Are you trying to connect with coaxial, or RCA jacks, If you have the Yellow, white, and red jacks on both you Emerson TV, and your whatever brand VCR, all you have to do is connect using the color to color ports. Sometimes the ports on tv or vcr are only mono, so instead of having 3 jacks there will only be 2. Yellow for video, and red and/or white for Audio. If you are using coaxial cables, which aren't hardly on the newer models. This also depends if you want to just playback or record as well. If you want to record with your vcr, you need to put the source coaxial,(From wall), and put that to the input of your VCR, it may be in the input of your tv, so you would take that out and put it in the vcr, and you will need a separate coaxial cable to put from your VCRs output jacks into the input of your tv. That would also put your input channel on 3 or 4. If you could tell me the way you wanted to connect, I could tell you better. Hope this helps.
