Attempt to do the firmware update, again--connecting always to ethernet for firmware updates. Unfortunately, your modem may be "bricked" (unusable)--in other words, it may be time to recycle it and buy a new one.

The firmware may proved damaged--given that the incorrect firmware successfully installed (hopefully, that was prevented by the device itself--it may have output an error message or code)--or, it was installed incompletely, or the update proved corrupted.

If you are using original windows 7, just go to start menu and choose windows update to get the latest modem driver for your computer. It will download and install it automatically using internet.

Also, if you can download a driver update software, it will find for your the latest driver even in windows 7 operating system.

there i sno driver for the d link.may be you are in need of lan driver go to device manager click auto update window 7 will automatically find it

This is a question you best address with D-Link directly. Go to their site and use their email to send them a query about your problem. They seem quite quick to respond with very helpful suggestions.

upgrade your windows xp, drivers are not required to use the router on your computer if you are using the windows xp. or you should have a look at your lan drivers first  or if you are trying to connect your router using the usb cable, please try to update your usb drivers.

This page has firmware for the DSL-G604T. There's a guide to updating firmware on the same page if too - usual advice is to backup current firmware configuration if possible, use a wired connection etc.
