SHIFT KEY PRESSES DOWN BUT WILL NOT CHANGE THE KEYS TO LET ME ACCESS THE APPS PART OF THEM ANY SUGGESTIONS , THEY SHIFTKEY IS NOT STUCK

check the other keys (ctrl, alt, Fn) if they are stuck. When you mean apps part, do you mean the apps on the functions keys? If so, you should be pressing the Fn key usually located at the lower left of your keyboard.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I have an emachine KB-0108 keyboard and the power keys are not working since I had my harddrive in for repairs. The typing keys work but none of the "extra" keys.

Have you tried to reinstall the drivers from the recovery apps? If you go into the recovery process, it gives you the options to recovery the whole system or just the apps. Choose the apps and this should correct your problem. (If you can not recover the apps without recoverying the whole system, go to eMachine support page for driver download.)
