I have put a new bettery in my casio FT200 (model 1879) wrist watch and can' t get it to re-start.
1) Take off white plastic cover so that the only metal cover is seen
2) Notice in upper right corner there is a "golden" pad - tiny one and in the metal cover there is an engraving AC. Use some needle like (conducting) object and connect this pin to metal cover (ground) - this will reset your watch.
My watch stops and when i try to wide it again it won't restart. I also do not have a battery in my watch. Please help!

I have replaced the battery in my Polar S120 and now have a string of meaningless symbols along the bottom of the screen and a line across the top. None of the buttons works. How do I reset it to function?
can not reset watch so that backlight works
I have the same problem with restarting or resetting after battery replacement in two of my casio digital watches (1) casio W-740 and (2) casio SKX-1000. It seams it may be different with different models. Both these have the AC engraving on the inner metal case, but I can't work out what I need to short it across to restart it. Any ideas anyone?
I followed the advice dated 4/22/2008, below, and restarted my Casio Forester, module #2147. The directions are also located on the inside of the back of the watch.
