It starts up okay, but when I engage the mower, it will not engage the mower, the tractor still runs, but not the mower.
Sounds like a broken belt.or it has come off the pulley
That's a common issue with the seat switch broken or a wire unplugged. When you are sitting down it allows the engine to keep running but if you get off of the seat (only when the blades are engaged) the engine will stop. But when the blades aren't engaged the engine will run no matter if you're on the seat or not. Check the switch under the seat.
Sorry I didn't see that the mower is still running. The suggestion on the belt sounds logical or check that the electric clutch is engaging, that's a common issue as well.
check and make sure belt is still on the deck and in the correct alignment is this is the case the safety switch for the mower deck may be faulty

SOURCE: Husqvarna Mdl YTH2448 Riding Mower - Electric PTO Not Working
It sounds like your charge system is not working. If you jump the battery the engine will run with a weak battery but the pto clutch needs a strong battery to stay engaged.Try this to test it,after you jump it leav the jumper cables hooked up and try to engage the blade clutch,if it runs it is either a battery that wont take a charge or a charge system not working. If you put a volt meter on the battery while the engine is running and the voltage is 13 volts the charge system is working and the battery is bad.

Sounds like you electric blade clutch is bad. I just had the same thing happen to my exmark mower. I was cutting grass and the engine just shut down. It would not crank over. Checked the fuses and replaced one blown fuse. The engine wanted to crank over but it was locked up. I looked the engine over and seen that the bearing in the electric clutch seized up causing the clutch to melt.
