2-handle faucet handles both rotate "on" counter=clockwise

My husband just replaced the rings in our peerless 2 handle faucet. Now, and he can't figure out how to change it, the hot water handle rotates forward for on and back for off, but the cold water rotates back for on and front for off. It's driving us crazy, and it's annoying when I try to turn off the faucets, but one comes on instead of turn off. Help!

Here's the solution from Delta:
On a two-handle kitchen or lavatory faucet, if the handles rotate in the wrong direction, simply rotate the right stem stop assembly 180 degrees. This will change the rotation of the handle to the other direction.

Peerless faucet sometimes won't turn on

It sounds to me like the rubber o-rings are getting old. Try posting your concerns on the Peerless Customer Support webpage. They can help you identify the model of your faucet and what repair kit to purchase. (Repair is fairly easy, the faucet is repaired in-place).

How do you remove the Metris S wideset faucet handle?

To remove the handle simply rotate the escutcheon counter clockwise and it will unthread from the fixation on top of the counter. Then the handle will lift off as one unit. You can clean them with CLR to clear up water deposits. If you need further instructions feel free to contact me Hansgrohe Tech 1-800-334-0455 press 2 for Technical and ask for David Scarborough. I'll be happy to help.

How do I fix a leaking hansgrohe solaris bathroom faucet?

If this is a widespread faucet you will need to turn the bell shaped portion of the handle counter clockwise to remove the handle as one unit. Then you will see the hex nut of the cartridge that will unscrew counter clockwise to remove. If this is a single hole unit you will need to loosen the set screw on the handle to remove it and then remove a cover ring to access the cartridge nut. If you need any further assistance feel free to call me at Hansgrohe. 1-800-334-0455 press 2 for Tech and ask for David Scarborough. I'll be happy to help.

I have a single handle shower faucet, turn all the way and you get only hot water.... It has been dripping over the last few weeks when off, hot water. now it's a steady flow. How do I adjust...

hi there:) your problem is caused by the cartridge inside the valve body. could be one of 3 things...1)the cartridge is damaged 2)hard water build up 3)foreign matter. it is not to difficult to replace it yourself: first turn off the water then find the set screw, which holds the handle in place, usually located at the base of the handle and remove it. (look closely/carefully cause it's hiding) then remove the escutcheon ring and the trim sleeve to expose the "bonnet" (lock ring) and remove it. (ritey titey lefty loosey) now you can remove the cartridge and inspect it for debris/damage. if you need a new one just take it w/you to any plumbing supply including home depot and/or lowes and they will help you find it. here is the installation/owners manual from peerless: http://peerless-faucet.com/customer-support/find-repair-parts/documentation/P8760.html hope this helps but if you need anything else just ask:)

No hot water in shower

They have a anti-scald device on valve.remove handle there is a little white ring with teeth on it and a square stop that stops handle so that you don't get to much hot water, just pull out a little and rotate ring counter clockwise(I think it's been a while since I adjusted one). You may have to play with it a few times but it allows handle to travel further to hot side, allowing more hot water.

Originally you pushed handle down to shut off water. Now water only shuts off when turning faucet counter clockwise, the position you use for cold water. Also, pressure increases when rotating faucet for...

The handle set or retention screw has loosen up and needs tightened. Remove the handle and rotate the stem to the off possession and reinstall the handle in the correct alignment.

I have a delta shower faucet that I just repaired and wonder how to adjust a thing called the rotational limit stop?It says see instructional sheet which I don't have.

There is a round ring with teeth. This can be rotated clockwise or counter clockwise to adjust the tempered water temp. This step will have to be repeted until you get the temp that you want. Should be no more that 105 degrees max.

The temperature in my shower is very luke warm only at the shower

Do you mean the other faucets in the house are hot and only the shower is warm? If so there is an anti-scald adjustment on the faucet that needs to be turned up a few notches. Havent adjusted a Grohe faucet but most faucets you rmove the handle and behind the handle is a nothced adjustment ring that prevents the faucet from getting too hot. This ring, or stop, is pulled out and twisted clockwise(or counter clockwise to set higher or lower max temp, then pushed back. maybe you can look up grohe to see which way ring or stop adjusts for hotter water.
