I have a model 4795 necchi, it will sew in one place, will not move, all thread jams up where the bobbin is
Try moving the stitch length dial to 4 or 5 - check the manual. You may have it in the position for very close together sewing. I had to do a lot of trying with my 4795 to get it to work right. I found that very thin thread, polyester kind, broke at the needle after a couple of stitches. I switched to coats & clarks thread and a Singer ball point needle and it works fine. Be sure your needle is inserted with the flat top toward the back of the machine. Good luck!

the thread is jamming in bobbin area, material will not feed and sewing in place, changed switch length and the feeding is moving up and down below plate
I have a model 4795 and the bottom thread bunches up but it still feeds the material. I have tried re-setting the thread tension, the bobbin tension, and the presser foot tension.
I have a Necchi 4795 Royal Series Model. The bottom thread bunches up sometimes during sewing. It will sew fine for a few stiches and then bunch up, sew fine and bunch. The fabric is feeding through fine though. I have tried adjusting the top, bobbin, and presser foot tensions.
I have had the same problem ever since I purchased the 4795 machine. Either the upper thread breaks or gets wound around the bobbin case. The best I can get is uneven stitches, e.g., uniform for several stitches then a longer one. Also back side of stitching is loose and does not look as even as the front.
I, too, am ready to pitch this machine.
