When I try to scan from my Dell 964, I get a message in the printer window saying, "Downloading scan applications from computer". It will scan the document and show a preview in the printer window but nothing happens after that. I have a suggested fix: uninstall and reinstall a new driver from dell website - the one I installed was for the 32-bit version but they didn't offer a 64-bit version. It didn't work anyway. I appreciate your help on this.

I ahve the Dell All-in-One Photo 964 Printer. The software says it can't communicate with computer. But faxes and scans can be done manually on printer, the software is needed to drop scans into e-mail, files etc. It worked perfectly fine when I had Windows XP, I now have Windows Vista. I have the same problem above also when using it manually.
