Your dealer may have written the purchase date on the tag for your maintenance plan. If not your dealer can determine the age by using your serial number

SOURCE: riccar model rad.7 upright (radiance). roller

As you already know, the red brush indicator light indicates that the brush roll has stopped turning, usually because an object has become stuck in the brush roll. When that happens you should turn the machine off (unplug it also for safety), remove the obstruction and turn the vac back on. That should have cleared the light and allowed your brush to turn again.
Occasionally, you will get debris in the brush roll end caps and the brush roll will spin slower making the sensor think there is an obstruction. You can remove the brush roll, pop the end caps off and clean out any debris to see if that helps.
If none of the above worked it is possible that the brush roll sensor is bad or the circuit board in the machine is bad. You'll need a Riccar service center for that. The good news is your Radiance has a 6 year warranty.

My belt came off my Riccar Radiance when I took the brush out to clean the hair off, how do I get the belt back on

The belt has to go around the motor shaft then under the roller on the pivoting lever (it's called the hall sensor) then around the brush roll. It may be easier to remove the top cover of the nozzle housing by removing the 5 screws from the bottom of the vacuum.

How to remove CLOG Riccar RAD.7 vacuum?

There is a clean out port on the back on the lower portion. Remove two screws to remove the cover to gain access to the air path from the floor to the bag. If this doesn't solve it you may have to remove the screws on the bottom which allow you to remove the cover of the nozzle assembly. There is a cover that goes from the floor to the direct air motor. Remove the screws to remove this cover which gains access to the air path and fan of the direct air motor. It's possible you may need to remove the direct air motor to clean out the fan if it has something stuck in there. This is not a job for the average person but if you are very mechanical you should be able to do it. If in doubt take it to your dealer. It is not very expensive to have done.

Where is riccar radiance filter reset button

Remove the bag door, you will see a little round rubber piece about 1/4 in diameter on the motor cover. Remove the rubber piece and very gently push the button while the brush roll motor is running

Accessing the motor on a riccar radiance

On a Radiance you will need to remove the screws going through the bottom of the vacuum nozzle housing which hold the cover on. Remove the cover and remove the screws holding the cover that goes from the brush roll to the lower motor. When you remove this cover tpyou will be able to see into the fan of the lower direct air motor to remove the obstruction. If it is in too far. You may have to pull the motorand open up the fan. This is not a hard thing to do but. If you have never done it, it can be a confusing job that may be best left to your Riccar dealer.

No suction on carpets

The reason it doesn't pick up on the carpets is because the belt is stretched or worn and can't turn the roller brush against the resistance of the carpet. Here is a link to the replacement belts you need:
