How to reset my wifi router cd-r king LP-8616?

You reset the router. that means router is set on factory default.settings has been changed now that's why connection manager is not responding properly. Now you have the run setup CD and set the router again.

i had the opportunity to use both Smart Bro and Globe broadband internet with my CD-R King LP-8186 router. I had decided to document the configuration steps for both. For the most part, the steps indicated herein apply to both Smart Bro and Globe except otherwise mentioned in some areas. I had included the screenshots that would really matter and excluded the configuration that I left to their default values or settings.




Here's the LAN Interface Setup that applies to Globe. Please note that DHCP has been disabled because the modem that came with my Globe broadband subscription has DHCP enabled thus the need to disable the DHCP server of the LP-8186 router. Also, the default gateway of 192.168.1.1 is the IP address of my Globe broadband modem which is a Prolink Hurricane 5200 modem.

The last part to be configured is the WAN setup. This screenshot applies to both Smart and Globe.

Lastly, if you are using Smart Bro, the RJ45 connector from the Smart Bro canopy antenna must be connected to the WAN port of the CD-R King LP-8186 rounter.
If you are using Globe, the Prolink Hurricane 5200 modem must be connected to one of your LAN ports (not to the WAN port) of the CD-R King LP-8186 router. With Globe, the CD-R King LP-8186 acts only as an access point and all computers connecting through it are actually using bridge networking.

1. you have to setup the Netbook inside the router
2. the router CD will have the instruction set to add a wireless device to the wireless device list in the router configuration.
3. to reset a password for the router you will have to set the router to default and go through the setup wizard again to reset the password.
You router manufacture site will have the instruction site to assist you with this.

try to scan or search for possible Wifi connection. if you want an easy access try going to McDonald's or Burger King which offer free Wifi access.

You have to manually assign a compatible IP address on your PC which you used to update the router in order to access it. For example, if the router default is 192.168.1.254, then you have to assign the PC 192.168.1.200 (IP address), 255.255.255.0 (subnet), 192.168.1.254 (gateway) on the PC. You should be able to get in the flash the 2nd and 3rd parts of the firmware. After completing the firmware flash, do a factory reset on the router and you should re-configure it again by hand. I need master password of wifi

The router's password can be changed by running the routers setup cd. If you do not have the cd:

1.Open your browser

2.In the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 this will bring you to your router configuration.

3.put in your username/password "If you forgot your username and password you can always reset your router, if that is the case your router will go to back to default settings,In order to reset the router look in the back of the router and you will see a reset button, press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, the reset button is located next to the Internet port on the router.

4. When your linksys router configuration is up, go to Administration.

you need to reinstall your wireless router...because it was reset to default...

as i know you need to go to the admin of dlink so that you can change the settings of your wireless router..
if you have the cd installer it is much better..follow the instructions and it will be fixed up...
