Air conditioner on pop up camper

Our air conditioner on our pop up camper will freeze up. It blows cold air but if we leave it running to long freeze appears on the part that looks like a radiator (i think that is what it is) We clean the filter and it still does it. Could it be getting low on freon? Thanks for the help.

I'm sorry but this is an air conditioner for a camper. It only has cool low or cool high and it does it on both settings.

Yeah, it could be getting low on freon but you also could turn up the ac a bit... if your running at 68 degrees or something turn it up to 72 and it wont freeze up as quick.

There is ice forming on the evaporator coils. This is either from a low freon charge or a leak in the seals or windows and doors. Could also be that the drains are not working and water is building up and freezing

My a/c in my pop up camper is blowing air but it is not cold. What should I check? Model 57915.622

Hi, this does sound as though the compressor is off. Go on top , pull the cover off and see. Turn the control to cool to see if all is running on top. You should have a disconnect at the unit. If its off, check for any blown fuses, or power to the system.

Central air conditioning system is blowing warm air.

many, many. Is the outside unit running? If it is, is the compressor running? Feel the refrigerant lines leaving the unit. Little one should be warm. Big one should be cold, probably sweating.

Brick Air blowing hot air

if you hear the compressor turning on,no heat, the coolant has leaked out. if the compressor doesnt turn on, its a control issue.

My dometic 15k brisk-air cont. cycles on-off

Actually, the dealer is somewhat correct. In the hotter months of the summer, the rooftop units have a tendency to freeze up if not run on high cool due to the lack of air movement across the evaporator. If the unit fines on High/Cool, then run it in that mode but adjust the thermostat.

It should not however, cycle on and off that fast unless you have a bad freeze switch or the incoming AC is too low. If during that 8-10 seconds, the air begins to get cold and then it shuts off, then I would say you have a bad freeze switch. If it runs fine on high, but shuts off in low, I would say it is a lack of air movement.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

Blows but not cooling

Is compressor running. If the fan runs and the compressor runs. You are out of refrigerant or the compressor has bad valves. Please leave feedback. Rusty

The air conditioner on my pop up camper is loud and vibrating

sounds like the compressor in your air conditioner has a broken spring in it,you can not take the compressor apart to fix,has to be replaced(cashy).I assume your camper is shaking, and the noise only happens when you turn on the air.
