Sansa c140 SanDisk

I had the same problem, first on the mp3 player under settings change the USB setting to MSC. Then plug the mp3 player back into the computer. Open the My Computer icon, right click on the SANSA C140 icon and click format. Make sure it's Fat32 and Quick Format is Not selected. Then click format. This will take a few minutes. When it's done your mp3 player will be just like a usb drive; you're files will be read normally.

* if it's a voice recording you're trying to find, look under music and scroll down to Recordings. If it's not there then perform the above format.

Also it only reads mp3s and pictures (gifs, jpgs). Unfortunately the c140 doesn't play videos :(

Sansa c140 screen frozen

Try a "hard reset". Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to shut off. With the device off, press and hold the vol + and the center select button. Power it back on, see if that works. You can add to the question if you have more questions. Best of Luck.

hmmm i'm not familiar with the problem but try this.

First open your mp3 player and go to settings. Under the USB menu change it to MSC. Then plug in the mp3 player to the computer. Open the My Computer on your desktop, right click on the Sansa mp3 player and click Format. Make sure Fat32 is checked and Quick format is UNchecked. Then format the mp3 player. After that it should be clean and work just like a USB drive.

Let me know if this helps!
