Reset BIOS to factory default, laptops do have a CMOS battery but will need to remove a few covers to get to it.

SOURCE: toshiba 350b satallite laptop won,t boot up have power but no hard drive activity

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

Don't pass NVRAM Checking at boot in Toshiba L40-15G.

If the RAM is not the original RAM that came with the Toshiba then the RAM maybe incompatible.

BIOS NVRAM checking - not passed

I have had even new sticks of ram not work in one machine, but are fine in another. Put the old ram back in and make sure everything works like you want, then try the ram again. If they are still giving problems, unfortunately it looks like even more ram is your solution.

My toshiba satallite l300-20w turns on and says toshiba but wont load up or go to boot manager, at this point i cant do any thing the screen stays the same, what shall i do?

if you have more than 1 memory sticks installed try taking 1 of them out to see if it boots, if not install it back in then take the other 1 out. try to see if you can also go into system setup when you boot. or try clicking f8 bunch of times after restarting system to see if you can go into safe mode

My toshiba satallite l305-s5909 wont display a screen. I turn it on and after the toshiba logo goes away the screen turns to black with a funny symbol and cursor blinking in the top left corner

Restart your laptop, as soon as it powers on (even before you see the logo), repeatedly tap on F8 to get to the advanced boot menu. Select the option for Last Known Good Configuration and see if it would boot up. If not, Repeat the procedure but this thime, choose safe mode. If you're able to boot to safe mode, you can just do a system restore to a date when it was working fine.
