Try going into your icon,,my computer,double click on it and it will open were you will see your cd player icon.right click on it and at the top it will say open click on that and your tray will open...or it should.

Look on the bottom of your laptop on the side where your cd drive is. There will be a screw that is centered with the cd drive, about 6 inches in. It should have a "lock" symbol next to it. If you take that screw out, the cd drive will be allowed to slide out then. You might need a screw driver to help pry it out though.

if you are trying to open the cd tray goto your icon that says...my computer..open it up and you will see the icon for your cd tray..right click on it and at the top it will say,,open,,click on it and your cd tray should open.

There is a small hole on the front of the drive. just push a straightened paperclip into the hole and it will pop open.

How to open dvd or cd drive acer computer

1. There should be a button in the middle of the CDROM tray, click on it and it will eject the CDROM Tray.
2. Open My Computer> Right click on CD/DVDROM icon & click eject.

My acer 472 oz doesn't turn on. how do I open the cd tray and get it to work again?

To open the tray please locate a pinhole on the CD tray. Insert a pin in it and when you encounter resistance push slightly and the tray will open even if the laptop is not powered on.

/cd/DVD eject hole

Most CD/DVD drives have a tiny hole just below the tray. Straighten a paper clip in gently insert it into this hole and push it in. The tray will slide out slightly, just grab the tray and pull it out to the open position.

I have an Acer Aspire 5670 Note book Computer

There is a small hole on the face of the tray which is used to open the tray in this kind of situation. Use some needle and push into the hole. If the tray does not come out, you have to open the laptop and remove the tray.

Acer aspire cd/dvd drive not working

Most likely if you have to use a paperclip to open the door, your drive is bad and needs to be replaced. They are pretty easy to install, directions depends on if you have a desktop or laptop Aspire.
