There is no simple way to wire up your 5.0. The engine management systems are not compatible at all. you have to either rewire the ranger to the 1990 platform (which would be almost impossible because of all the gauges and controls), or rewire the 5.0 to plug into the ranger's engine management and computer system - expensive and time consuming to get it to run right.

Does it have a TFI module on the distributor. A local parts store should be able to test that for you.
