The LG800G works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible and will not work with this phone. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.
1. Be sure that the device you are using the 4GB micro SDHC card for, is able to use this type (HC=High Capacity) of memory. 2. Check the memory card is working well on a notebook / pc with an adaptor and/or a SD-cardreader. 3. Format the memory card and re-check.
your samsung Gravity 2 wont read the HC format, there is not much you can do sorry. the SD HC is a newer format for devices in the last year or so. Older devices will not accept the HC format cards. I did the same thing! And im in the business, easy mistake. Keep it around though you'll use it soon, just not in your Samsung.
