Error message Jus had an error message "test" come up on my Hotpoint WF640 Aquarius front loading washing machine...i have tried swiitching off at the mains for 5mins and back on again but error message still coming up...HELP

    tried to re do the test procedure but still failed test light still on

    My FDW60 has stopped it's cycle just after the prewash starts running and the Eco and Fast lights start flashing at the same time. I've turned it off and reset it, but same problem keeps occuring. Any ideas?

Hotpoint’s are designed to go into test mode when the start button and the on/off button are pressed at the same time. If you are stuck in Test mode, simply hold the start button down until it comes out of test mode, then hold both the start buttons and the on/off button down until you see ‘D:end’ (or similar message)."

Remove the lower rear panel of washer, locate and remove the large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean plastic filter inside the hose.
Reassemble and test for leaks.
Have some cloths ready to wipe up water from hose.

F08 means the heater relay on the main electronic module (in the back of the machine) has failed.

F02 indicates that the motor tacho has broken or become detached, this is to be found on the end of the motor shaft.

the f-01 error code on your hotpoint all in 1 washer/dryer is a short circuit code for the motor. the only way to clear the code is to have a service tech come and inspect the reason for the error.

This has happend to me today! this is the fix
  1. Press and hold the Start/Cancel button until message clears
  2. Now press both Start/Cancel and On/Off buttons together until you get a dOFF message
  3. now your machine should work OK
