Mod 106, 89483993. Water comes in and condenser is clean. I do not hear the condenser kick on but I am not sure how load it would be. New unit to me. Inside of unit is hot

You would be able to feel air movement at the nase of the unit, air is pulled in throught he coil and exists on the left side. This unit most likely does a 60-90 second fill then rinse, then another 60-90 sec fill, tehn commences ice making. Best to follow the questions I posed to narrow down your issue. If the toe kick has been removed at the bottom you can also check for a warm copper line entering the condenser coil, either top or bottom should be warm if the compressor is running, you also need to check that the water is cascading over the freeze plate after the 2 fill and rinse intervals. If the water is cascading over the freeze plate and running back down into the resevoir, but the condenser fan or compressor isn't running, than you most likely need the main control board replaced located in the ceiling box where you select the functions. You do not add freon to these units, they are sealed, no access ports installed from the manufacture. If you are actually low on freon than you have a leak and will just end up in the same place you are now. Some things to note since you have not posted a model number. Does the water come into the reservoir when you first turn it on? Does the water circulate over the freeze plate shortly after it's done filling? Is your condenser coil on the bottom behind the toe plate completely clean of dust? With the toe plate off are all of the components running, like the compressor, and fan motor after your fill time has expired? Please add a complete model number from the sticker on the unit for better advice. Pleazer Appliance...

Ice machine won't make ice! kenmore 363.9537883 bought whirlpool filter 4378411RB water comes out of door but pressure isnt good. Told me i needed a new filter. Is this the problem or something else?

The filter is for water AND the ice maker. The ice maker expects a certain amount of water to flow into it during the fill time. If no water flows at all into the ice maker, then suspect the clock mechanism of the ice maker.

Kenmore 596.50692001 side by side stopped cooling. The fan is working, the compressor kicks on for less than a minute then kicks out. No cooling air flows. Water dispenser is working fine, but the water...

You most likely have a fried overload, it is the small white square shaped piece on the compressor, to tell if it is bad, remove it and smell it for electric burning smell, or if you shake it and it sounds like sand shaking around it is definately bad. costs around $25 to replace. You can purchas this at http://www.reliableparts.com/ using your model number.

I have a hosizaki ice machine. the warning buzzer is continious. is it the control board?

check to see if you have the correct water pressure going into the machine. You need at least 30 psi. Also if your machine is water cooled, be sure cooling water is entering the machine. on water cooled machines there will be a continuous flow of water into the drain whenever the machine is running. If it is air cooled check the condenser coil to see that air is flowing freely through the coils.

I have a kenmore model 106 79207990 Water and Ice developed behind the frezzer tray I took the tray out and it appears that the drain was filled with ice. What seems to be the problem with the drain....

Hi,

The drain can get a build up in it over time or a foreign object can get in there and block the water flow.

To clear the drain:

- Turn off the refrigerator and unplug

- Locate the drain (it may be under all the ice) it is just below the cooling coils close the slots in the back panel. The drain hole is about the size of a dime.

- Use hot water and bath towels to unthaw the ice, DO NOT use a chisel and hammer as you can cause damage. A hair dryer may work too but be careful not to melt any of the plastic walls.

- Once the top ice is gone, use a turkey baster to flush down the drain hole until the water flows free.

- A small amount of spilled water on the floor is normal while doing this so have towels ready.

I have a Kenmore Elite top freezer refrigator. Water is driping or somehow forming on the top shelves [under the top freezer] and a thin layer of ice will appear and the water contuniues to form. then over...

common issue.....sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all taht ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youl melt everything) or by pouring hot water donw the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine

No Ice on GE Side by SIde -TFX25JRYF-WW

Usually there is a big metal frame-switch that controls the flow of water. It is located right above the ice tub. If your ice tub is full the ice cubes push this metal switch up so as to stop water supply. If you remove the ice tub out, chances are that you have accidentally pushed the metal switch all the way up until it clicks and stays there. In this position, the ice mold water flow is permanently stopped.

Insert the tub again in its position slowly. Before fully inserting it, pull the metal switch down inside the empty tub. With the switch down, insert the ice tub back into position.

If that does not apply for your refridgerator, look for a similar water flow switch to turn back on the water flow.

Hope this helps
