I had some water from my plant dripped in my 32 inch Vizio LCD tv. Th e tv was off when this happened, so I try to turn it on and nothing happened. I try to dry it out with a blow dryer on warm heat. It still did not work. I am planning on letting it dry out. Will the tv still work if I let it dry out? How long should I let it dry out before trying to see if it works?

No,ur main reomte CPU is dead,this problem happen to many remotes in many tv models.Buy a new remote in this website 1-800-Remotes Factory Original.Get the same exact remote.

Use ur original remote tries modes funsctions,Might need to change the backlight video inverter board.

go to www.vizio.com. select the support and go down to the register your vizio. Fill out the require field and press submit. this will get your TV register.

Try unplugging the tv and holding down the power button for 30 seconds than pluuging it back in and if it does not come back on the tv will need a repair to the power supply, just call tech support and make sure to have the serial number and the reciet handy so they can get you registered on the support system. Hopefully your tv is still under the one year mark than the repair will be free if not it can get expensive fast. Me personnaly have worked for vizio for about a year now and honestly this is a very common problem with theses tv's.

IT SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY. TAKE IT TO AN AUTHORIZED VIZIO SERVICER.

I have the same tv, if you turn up the brightness and turn down the contrast that should help a little bit.... Hope this helps

If under warrenty then call vizio!
I believe its sound board but I could be wrong.
No easy fix, the part is 220$ service is 210 a used LIKE NEW 42-50 inch is 500$ shipped !
Sorry to say this but it happened to my 50 inch just before I heard a pop then it would not show a picture and had no sound.
Call them up if your tv is less then 1 yr old!
