I need to adtivate win cleaner on my computer. I am connected to the internet and it says I am not. I need an activation code.

What firewall software are you using on your computer? The firewall may be blocking the WinCleaner activation program from reaching the internet. Check if there is a message like "Do you want to allow this process?" in the lower right hand side of the screen (for ZoneAlarm and some other software). For other firewall programs, open the program and check the allowed software list.

Next check your browser settings. If you have Internet Explorer set to "work offline", some software activation programs will get see that message and assume that the computer is not connected to the internet. This depends on the version of IE you are using. First check if the "Work Offline" option is enabled (IE8 had this option). Click Alt if you need to open the toolbar and then look under File.) For some versions of IE, you will need to go to the Internet Options (Tools or click on the gear). Go to the Advanced tab and click on the Reset IE button (near the bottom right of the window). Then restart the browser.
