F30 Err message after four top stove elements on high for a few minutes. Stove top works but not oven,continue to get F30 err message.

I see that your oven and broiler will not work on your Frigidaire range. It could be possible that your elements are bad or the thermostat may have shorted. I would suggest performing a reset on your range and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. If that does not help resolve your issue you may need to have a professional technician come out to pinpoint the issue within your range. Best of luck! -Matt

My guess is the element in the back of the oven took that moment to die. You will have to get an appliance engineer or good DIY electrician to check the supply to the element to be sure. While you have it out you can write down the serial numbers etc off the label on the back. You will need them to purchase a new element. Just go online to an appliance spares specialist.

Sounds like the thermostat maybe defective.

Make sure the oven timer is set properly, if its turned off, the oven will not go on. Also check if the oven has separate fuse, it may have blown.

Could be the fuse in the back turn off the power and trace the wiring with a multimeter, when you stop getting continuity there is the fuse.

If element caught on fire, I would suspect stove needs cleaning. Do that then elements should not smoke for long. (I hope all moisture was removed from stove!!!)

The F9 code indicates a problem with the door lock. (Since the oven must lock the door for a cleaning cycle, this will be a "fatal" error for the cleaning cycle.) There are a few possibilities. Open the oven door and look for a L-shaped piece of metal on the top of the oven frame. Check that this lock part is angled to go straight up (12 on an analog clock). If it is rotated slightly, it won't fit properly during the lock cycle.

Clean the latch and wiggle it to check if it will move freely. If these steps don't fix the problem, you need to check the door latch motor and switches. You will need to take off the back panel of the oven to find the motor. Check for loose wires or damaged/loose switches.

If the motor assembly and switches are good, then the central control (clock) probably needs to be replaced.

I work on stoves with various problems all the time, and have never encountered a problem exactly like yours. You may get other answers, but here's my two cents worth: When I don't trust a stove, I replace it. Period. Hopefully, your's is old and you're ready for a new one. A new stove is much cheaper than a house fire.
