I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 and to fix this problem I removed the drain plug being careful not to damage the plastic housing. I drilled through the center of the drain plug so that I would not have to use force to get it out and crack the plastic housing. After you get it out you will see that there is a rubber washer that is used to seal the drain. NAPA sells a drain plug that will work to replace the stock plug. The part #605-1278 comes on a card that says for Ford/GM. but it worked perfectly for me.
Remove the drain plug and try not to loose to much antifreeze, Inspect the drain plug and radiator for the rubber O ring. There should be a O ring and when the drain plug get's removed it sometimes stick's on the radiator side and when replacing the drain plug, the O ring get's pushed in to the radiator leaving the drain plug with out a O Ring or the O ring may have gotten pinched and a new O ring is needed. Good luck and hope this helps.
Try using some plumbers tape.
