It probably does, but an in-line fuse is still the safest way to go, connected as close as possible to the voltage source as possible. The internal overcurrent protection device (aka, fuse or breaker) in the inverter will prevent the DEVICE from melting if it malfunctions. An in-line fuse will protect EVERYTHING if the WIRING malfunctions.

A 1000 watt power inverter hooks to the battery terminals directly, not through the cigarette lighter.

Need a manual for vector 700 VEC062

I can't find a manual for a Vector VEC062 700W power inverter. I did find a manual for the slightly older VEC061 Maxx SST 350W (700W peak) power inverter. Usually, the differences between models is small enough that the older manual will help you use the power inverter. See Manuals Lib, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/590724/Vector-Vec061.html , for the manual to see if it will help.

I wish that I could find out more on the VEC062.

(Vector 400 Watt sst Power inverter) When I plug the Inverter into the Cigarette lighter of my RV, and the TV 26" into the inverter It won't work.

I am assuming that the inverter works with other devices. This being the case, i am thinking that the television start up current is drawing too much power too quick for the inverter to handle and this is what is shutting down the inverter.

I have a Veco24B 400 Watt DC to AC inverter and the fuse that is suppose to be located in the cigarette lighter adapter is missing and I would like to know the size of fuse that is required.

I would put a 20 amp fuse in. The wiring for the cigarette lighter is usually around 15 - 20 Amps. The wiring also is not rated for more than 20A. I hope this helps. JOe

2001 1200 XLC lost all electrical when I hit starter. Battery connections and ground test OK. Bat reads 12.6v. Fuses in fuse box are good but there may be inline fuses or a breaker. I have an electrical...

There is a 30amp circuit breaker between the ignition switch and the starter. The charge wire from the voltage regulator goes to that same circuit breaker. There is also a 15 amp fuse in the fuse box for the ignition circuit. Double check battery cables making sure the contacts are free of corrosion. Good luck.

Bought a new vector maxxsst 1200 watt inverter

Inverter run on batteries sir, and if these batteries are not charged, the run time {the number of hours it will work} reduces.
S0, you will need to connect the inverter to a power source.Theses will allow your batteries to be charged and enable it to run for a long period of time.
Make sure your batteries are still OK.i.e working properly

I CANNOT FIND A REPLACEMENT FUSE FOR THE VECTOR VEC024B INVERTER.i HAVE OWNED IT FOR LESS THEN 3 MONTHS . IS THERE AN ALTERNATE FUSE THAT CAN BE USED?tHIS IS THE CIGERETT LIGHTER CABLE FUSE. F8VL250V.

Go to any Appliance parts store with your fuse in hand and walk out with a replacement. The 250V fuse is AC OUTPUT and "not" a DC input fuse. That is an 8 amp 250V slow blow fuse.

Green light on but no ac power out

Probably has an internal fuse that is blown. You will have to disconnect it from dc power and take the cover off and look for a fuse that is blown, should be near the AC outlet or on the circuit board. Could be a glass tube or newer style automotive plug in type. Good luck.

The fault light stays on my power inverter

Try disconnecting the DC input for 5 min. or so, this will generally reset the unit.
