Many of the parts you can just drop the prefix and use the Sears /AYP #
So, look at the hood sticker or in your manual for the Husq#. 532 18 08-08 becomes 180808 which is a common Sears belt for their secondary belt on the newer 48.
OEP shows as a 5/8 X 89"
The primary for these 174368 (Engine to deck)OEP shows 5/8 X 90.
Best to get the oem if you can. Never tried aftermarket on these.

You mean Briggs and Stratton. Sounds potentially expensive. Call a local small engine repair shop. They'll tell you how much it will cost. A new engine might be $1k. Repairs a few hundred.

if its a 23 hp briggs and stratton it should be on the opposite side from the dipstick where you check the oil down low.
It may be black with a briggs and stratton label or it may be yellow with the same.

Under the mower below the seat of the rider, at the rear of the tractor, look up and you will find the transmission there. There is a belt that runs on the pulley under there, and this belt can slip off when it gets worn or stretched. Sort of a tough spot to get to but, that is most probably cause.

I am having the same problem. I replace the fuse and as soon as I turn the key it pops. This occurs whether in the seat or standing alongside. It also occurs while in the seat with the brake pedal engaged. Just adding my two cents of frustration...grass won't quit growing while I can't figure it out.!
