1. Check if the picture settings are set properly. Make sure the aspect ratio and resolution are correct for your TV.
2. Check your TV's display menu for any "Flip" or "Mirror" options and turn them off.
3. Check the connections from your TV to your cable box or HDMI device. Try unplugging them and plugging them back in to make sure they are secure.
4. Check the TV's user manual for any specific instructions on troubleshooting picture issues.
5. If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact your TV manufacturer for more help and advice.
There should be a setting on your TV that is called Picture Flip. See if you can access it with your Sharp remote (not a Universal remote)
Press MENU
Scroll left or right to SETUP
Scroll up or down to PICTURE FLIP
Scroll up or down to STANDARD
Press ENTER
Press MENU
That should turn your picture normal. Let us know if it worked.
Its somewhat common for this to happen and generally its an easy fix but since your set doesn't have the flip picture option your going to need to get into the service mode to fix this...below are the steps on how to get into the service menu on a Sharp TV...once your in there you need to look for either mirror image or H invert, and change that setting from on to off or off to on depending on what setting you have.
* While the LCD is on, unplug the power cable. * Then while pressing the {INPUT} & {VOL -} buttons on the remote, plug the power cable back into the outlet. * When it powers up you will see a little "k" appear in brackets. * Then on the TV, press and hold {VOL -} & {CH -} down and release. * The Service Menu will be displayed. * Use {CH+} {CH -} buttons to navigate * Use {VOL+} {VOL -} buttons to adjust the value. * Turn the set off to exit the Service Menu.
If you select "source" on your remote then enter 7343 it will bring up a factory menu. Go down to 'Other setting' , the setting 'scaler output' should be set to "Normal". This setting flips the display.
Read the setup manual more closely, the answer was very vague and a person has to pay close attention to the pictures. Found one picture that showed the menu with "flip" displayed on it.
There's a button on the original remote control that does exactly that:
