The filter simply allows the dryer air to pass through and trap the lint so it will not collect in the exit tube or on the outer vent parts. If anything, the clothes inside the bin will just spin around and be there when you finish. The noise inside the dryer could be from something that was in the pant or shirt pocket and was floating around.
TE3' error code - Heating Error - High temperature thermistor open circuit. Could be the thermistor, high temp thermostat, etc. It shows an "open" code, which means something from point A to point B is open, and not grounding out. Check wiring, plugs, anything that could be bad or disconnected.
Unfortunately, the E3 Error Code is not listed in the Service Manual for you model. To find the solution to this, Call an LG support representative(800) 243-0000. Have the Correct Model Number handy when you call.
Hope this helps you to find a solution to the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.
micheline, according to the LG Owner's Manual for the Model Number you listed, there is no LED display on the casement window unit (please see the Owner's Manual link below). How are you getting an E3 error code? Or by chance, did you list the wrong model number? Even Goldstar, that is made by LG, doesn't show your model number.
