SOURCE: Fans not working

I had the same problem as other bloggers--temp would not decrease and fan did not run. . . as suggested by others, I replaced the 5A heat-shrink wrapped fuse in upper left corner of circuit board (fuse is covered in black heat shrink wrap and is in a U-shape). I unsoldered the two ends of the fuse on the circuit board (be sure you locate the correct two holes) and then replaced it with two parts from Radio Shack--a 5x20mm Inline Fuse Holder rated at 250V AC, 5A (part # 270-1238) and used a 6.3A slow-blow 250V fuse (part # 270-1066). Now the wine Refir works great!

To replace the part take all the screws off the sheet metal covering on the back of the refrigerator. Remove the circuit board from the plastic holder. I left all the wires plugged in and just unsoldered the fuse with the circuit board still connected--but to solder you will need an extra pair of hands to hold the board while you solder.

If you don't have it, get some silver solder while at Radio Shack and a thin, needle-point soldering iron tip. Radio shack has 30W soldering irons for less than $10. You really don't need soldering experience--just a steady hand. Even if you have none of these parts your total outlay at RadioShack is less than $25 for everything.

SOURCE: Fan doesn't work on oster wine cellar

The outside rear fan on my wine cellar seized and caused the unit to stop working. I replaced the fan with a close match (12vDC, 0.16amp) and the unit is working again. I also took the time to replace the in-line fuse in the upper left corner of the circuit board, just based on all of the blogs I read about it failing. I did all of this only becasue the unit was past it's warranty (>1year) I think however that the main problem with these wine cellars is that the two fans (one on outside, rear and one inside) are just too weak. They can easily be stalled if the air flow is blocked. Oster should have spent a little more money on a good fan and they might not have all of these dissappointed customers.

Hailer BC112-G wine cooler bottom where door hinge is door

It sounds like the part that has failed is part of the fridge case. The only way to fix that would be to put a thin piece of metal over the top of it and fix it with pop rivets. Then fit the hinge to it.

My wine cellar (Model: ow0912H6H) still runs but it does not cool. What can I do? I don't believe that there is a compresser in ot. I don't know what cools it.

I had the same problem and noticed that the lint screen behind the cooler was full of lint where it was almost completely clogged. I vacummed it and it seems to have done the trick.

Oster 12 bottle wine cooler not working, no fan temp running high. What could be the problem?

Well... the best solution is use it for parts and toss the rest in the trash. Go to any web site that sells it and has reviews, read the reviews, and you will see why I came to this conclusion. I got one free on FreeCycle.org. After reading reviews decided it was not worth fixing. She had dropped the one I had, door broke. Basiclife.com

GE JVM1650BB005

You can search under Repair Parts and enter your full model number JVM1650BB005 and get an exploded view diagram here: http://www.geappliances.com/shop/prts/ That diagram can be a great help. Also, I've attached below a door panel diagram from a Sharp model. Your GE disassembly may work the same way. If you haven't already taken the door off the microwave, I would recommend you don't unless you leave the hinge assembly attached to the door and remove the door from the hinges. It's critical to be sure you get (or keep) the door and hinged aligned exactly as they were to prevent leakage.
