Como resetar á bios do

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.

PASSWORD COMOS IBM THINK PAD R50

Hi, If you are talking about the Boot, HDD, Bios password, then the only one way to recover it is to implement a chip on the systemboard to shorcut the protection or to contact Lenovo for a systemboard replacement. Unfortunalty, no other ways other round. Thanks and have a nice day J-

I have acer travelmate 2420 series, i forgot the administrator PASSWARD, i tried to remove the cemos battery for some time but it still ask for the same thing.(ENTER PASSWARD),please may you help me.

not only do you need to remove the comos battery you have to short out the posts the battery connects to this will remove remaining power stored in any caps connected to the comos circuit after about ten minutes this should clear the comos remove battery unplug charger and remove comos battery the short the comos battery socket. there is still some voltage on the board stored in the capactors this will keep the comos in memory even with out the battery.

IBM Thinkpad T21

This is a common problem with the T20 series Thinkpad. The problem is with the power management chip. Unfortunately, you will have to replace the motherboard to fix it. Since these are a bit on the older side, you can get a motherboard off Ebay at a reasonable price.

DVD

Hi,
I don't mean to disagree with my associate, but DVD players for R series (or T, A, etc) can be found for less than 20.00 US (Ebay is a good example)
For that matter, we've got at least a dozen at our shop which we sell for 25.00
Installation is very simple as well, just pop the old drive out, put the new drive in.
Good luck

Bios password ibm thinkpad g40

Sounds like you tried this, but it's worth a shot again. Remove the CMOS battery on the motherboard and let the laptop sit for an hour, then replace the battery with a new one.

If the only real issue is changing the time and date, you can do this in Windows and it will reset the BIOS clock, too, of course.

If the problem is that the time and date keep reseting, you either have a low CMOS battery or a short on the motherboard that is resetting it.

If all else fails, you might need to flash the BIOS from a floppy disk with the latest BIOS version for your machine to reset it and go from there.

PS: BIOS reset problems on laptops are sometimes due to power problems caused by battery packs going bad; check your battery pack, too, and see if it is working okay.

Good luck...
