To retrieve messages from the RCA Telefield model 1000 answering machine, follow these steps:
Press the "play" button on the answering machine. You will hear a beep and the machine will start playing your messages.
Use the "skip" and "repeat" buttons to navigate through your messages.
To save a message, press the "save" button. To delete a message, press the "delete" button.
If you want to keep a message, write down the date and time of the message and the caller's phone number.
If you are having trouble retrieving messages or the answering machine is not working properly, you may need to reset it. To reset the RCA Telefield model 1000 answering machine, unplug it from the power source for a few minutes and then plug it back in. This should reset the answering machine and clear any issues.
Once the manufacturers message is deleted it is not available unless it was stored elsewhere. It will be best to check with your dealer to confirm on this or you can always get someone to mime the same tone voice.
"The answering machine is off. Please leave a message" (sic) This doesn't make sense.... how can one leave a message if the answering machine is OFF! Unless it goes to a voicemail etc? It's just not possible?
I suggest that you use your manual, and reset up your system again, perform a Factory Reset and then set up what you need to do again, this will clear any erroneous data that maybe causing any problems.
Whats seems to be happening is that the default "Voice" is being activated instead of the recorded message? I think you need to do it again.
After you have done this, record your message and set the answering machine to ON. Then test it from another phone.
NOTE sometimes with answering machines, if they ring more than a certain number of times, without being answered, the AP may switch OFF, ON or indeed do "Other" functions" that may be assigned, so ensure that this "Feature' isn't active or enabled or whatever.
Hi there,From answering your telephone when you are busy or away, to broadcasting a generic message to callers, an answering machine is a key part of your home or office phone system. When the device is working properly, it not only records and playbacks messages, but also informs you of the date and time of the call. If your answering machine is not recording messages, displaying an error code or is presenting another problem, you can reset the device and restore it to a working state.
that is the number of messages you have on your machine. If you don't like having messages, then you can delete them by pressing and holding the Play/pause button (blue button below the red answering machine light) until messages start to play. once they do, hit the remove button for each message you want to remove. Kepeech?
if you don't like having a message number higher than zero, then you probably shouldn't have an answering machine! :)
There are zero message on the machine, but the machine says "messages full" to the caller after if answers and plays my recorded message. It also flashes "F" on the display. I can't figure out how to reset it so that it will answer my calls. Can you help?
If the system is disconnected from the AC power it will not operate. Your announcemen and messages are retained in memory during a power failure but you will need to reset the clock. See the instructions on the bottom of the unit. If the message window displays CL, you need to reset the clock. See the instruction on the bottom of the unit.
